Generating Real Opportunities for Work
More than a paycheck: real work, real connection, and a full and meaningful life.
About GROW
Why Work Matters
At GROW, we believe the value of work goes far beyond a paycheck. Work brings meaning to our days and fulfillment to our lives. It connects us with coworkers, opens doors to growth, and gives us the pride of a job well done. These rewards matter just as much as being paid, and everyone deserves the chance to experience them.
Why GROW Exists
In New Jersey, finding paid employment can be especially hard for adults with developmental disabilities, and the state's high minimum wage can make employers hesitant to hire. GROW exists to close that gap. We create real opportunities where individuals can experience the meaning, connection, growth, and accomplishment of work, even before paid employment is within reach.
Our Mission
GROW believes adults with developmental disabilities have the same right as anyone to a full and meaningful life — one that, for many, includes meaningful work and opportunities to contribute.
We create employment, volunteer, recreational, and community opportunities where individuals of all abilities and support needs can contribute, build relationships, develop skills, and experience greater connection, belonging, and choice.
About Our Founder
Cara Graham has worked alongside individuals with developmental disabilities since 2006, when she began as a student teacher. In 2009 she became a paraprofessional in a classroom for children with autism, then went on to earn her master's in special education and a post-master's in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2012.
In 2013 she founded Graham Behavior Services, and in 2021 opened the first ABA clinic for adults with developmental disabilities in New Jersey. In 2025 she launched Graham Home Services, providing community-based supports to adults through DDD funding. Today these organizations operate together under the Graham Family of Services. Her work has spanned public and private schools, clinics, homes, and the community.
Throughout her career, Cara has worked to build what's missing for people with developmental disabilities, with a special place in her heart for adults, who too often aren't served as well as they could be. She believes everyone is entitled to a full, meaningful life, and she founded GROW in the hope that it will be the missing piece that makes that life possible.
