Volunteer With GROW

GROW runs on people who believe everyone deserves the meaning, connection, and pride that come from real work. Whether you have a few hours a month or want to lead a team, there’s a place for you here.

Administrative Volunteers

Help keep GROW running behind the scenes.

  • Data entry, filing, and recordkeeping

  • Scheduling and volunteer coordination

  • Answering emails and helping with outreach

  • Supporting social media and communications

A good fit if you: are organized, detail-oriented, and like working on your own schedule.

Fundraising & Events Volunteers

Help us grow our community and the resources behind our work.

  • Planning and running fundraisers and community events

  • Reaching out to local businesses and sponsors

  • Setting up, staffing, and breaking down events

  • Welcoming guests and sharing GROW’s mission

A good fit if you: enjoy people, bring energy, and like seeing an event come together.

On-Site Project Coordinators

Lead a team of adults with developmental disabilities as they volunteer in the community. Projects change from week to week. One day it might be stuffing bags for a community event, the next cleaning up a local park or working on a farm.

  • Leading a small team through the day’s project

  • Giving clear directions and breaking tasks into steps

  • Encouraging teamwork, independence, and a sense of accomplishment

  • Serving as the main point of contact at the project site

A good fit if you: are patient, steady, and excited to help others succeed.

Requirements: All project coordinators must complete a background check and GROW’s coordinator training before leading a team.

A Note for Participants and Families

GROW does not provide 1:1 support. If a participant needs 1:1 support, they should bring their own support person, such as a parent, caregiver, sibling, or their own direct support professional. That person stays with them for the whole project.

Requirements for support people: All support people must complete a background check and sign a GROW waiver before joining a project.
